You can find information and local resources from Southwestern Indiana Alcoholics Anonymous at their website Al-AnonĪccording to the Indiana Al-Anon website ( ), “Al-Anon Family Group meetings, the friends and family members of problem drinkers share their experiences and learn how to apply the principles of the Al-Anon program to their individual situations.” We hope that the information and resources we provide will help individuals and families make the decisions that are best for them. These resources promote the diverse treatment options available in our community and provide links to resource that explain various treatment approaches. Treatment and recovery may involve individual therapy, group counseling, Alcoholics Anonymous, Families Anonymous, Alanon, family education and counseling, Community Reinforcement And Family Training (CRAFT), psychiatric care, proper health care, medication, faith-based counseling, and/or other options. Consequently, treatment and recovery can mean different things for each person and family. Individuals and families seeking treatment have many different needs. Then proper treatment and recovery can begin. To help someone with an illness, one must first identify or diagnose the illness. The Task Force wants everyone to have access to affordable and effective treatment options. Our community supports those with substance use disorders and the people who love them.
